Woman killed, cut up, and hid the remains of her partner in a suitcase

Last year, teenagers noticed strange bags in the passage of the irrigation canal of Szászberek. They immediately notified the police, who found a cut-up corpse in the bags. The investigations led to the conclusion that a 27-year-old woman had killed her partner and was trying to get rid of the body. The investigation has now been closed.

Origo writes that last year, on March 2nd, the police received a report of suspicious bags found in the outskirts of Jászalsószentgyörgy, in the passage of the irrigation canal of Szászberek. The arriving officers determined that there were human body parts in the bags.

The police reported that the headquarters immediately ordered an investigation on the homicide. Investigators conducted a detailed on-site and corpse inspection, and in parallel, they began data collection and witness searches to identify the body and killer.

In a short time, the police have identified the suspect and arrested a 27-year-old woman.

The investigation revealed that on the morning of February 24, 2019, the 27-year-old woman had killed her partner with several knife stabs in their apartment in Vienna. She took her former partner’s cash, chopped up the victim’s body, and put it in suitcases. With a rented car, she drove the remains to his brother’s apartment in Jászladány.

She poured hydrochloric acid on the remains and put them in bags, then proceeded to hide the bags with the help of her mother near the irrigation canal.

The investigators have questioned the 27-year-old woman as a suspect in the premeditated homicide, robbery, and drug possession case. The woman’s mother was interrogated as an accomplice. The police have now closed the investigation and handed the resulting documents over to the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Prosecutor’s Office.
