Hungary condemns Kabul bombing
Hungary’s foreign ministry has condemned Wednesday’s truck bombing in Kabul’s diplomatic district that killed at least 90 people and injured hundreds more.
“Base and cowardly attacks such as this do not in any way deter us from our committed involvement in the fight against terrorism,” the ministry said in a statement published on the government portal kormany.hu.
The ministry said it was “shocked” to hear of the deadly attack that occurred near the German embassy.
The statement said Germany can count on the Hungarian government, “as the security of our citizens is of the utmost importance also in this regard”.
The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the attack.
