Hungary the country with one of the fastest internet connections

Out of 200 countries, Hungary has one of the fastest internet connections. We are ninth on the list, reports index.hu.
The Cable surveyed 200 countries. They did 163 million speed tests with the help of Google, Princeton University and the M-Lab. It took 12 months to gather all the data, but the findings were rather interesting.

They looked at the countries’ last rankings, the mean average download speed and how long it would take to download a 5GB HD movie using average speed. From this, they found out that the internet in Hungary is even faster than it was last year. We moved up 6 places compared to last year. In Hungary, it only takes about 20 minutes to download a 5GB movie.
The country with the fastest internet access is Singapore since they rely heavily on digital infrastructure. The next three are all Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Denmark and Norway. In Sweden, for example, 60% of the population has access to speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Europe has the world’s highest concentration of countries with fast or very fast broadband. Out of the 53 countries measured in Europe all but one (Armenia) fall in the top 100 fastest.

Maybe in Budapest but not outside of the city. In the south T-mobile charges 9000 HUF to deliver the equivalent of 250 MB/s (2000 Mbit/s) and actually deliver 18 MB/s (150 Mbit/s).
