Hungarian Nanushka gains fame in US

Szandra Sándor is a Hungarian fashion designer, whose clothes are worn by celebrities in Hollywood. Now she was featured in the most famous fashion magazine, Vogue, due to her own ceramic designs, nlcafe.hu announces.

Szandra Sándor was born and raised in Budapest, and after graduating from the London College of Fashion she launched her brand Nanushka – using her own old nickname – in 2006 and this might as well marked the start of a flourishing Hungarian design-industry.

Nanushka clothes are designed in Budapest and produced in Europe, guaranteeing the best materials and quality.

Although the brand almost faced bankruptcy once, it is now more successful than ever under the leadership of Szandra, and Péter Baldaszti, her partner, co-owner, and CEO. They have a flagships store in Budapest and the collections are sold in over 30 countries, both in online shops and department stores, in addition to shipping worldwide to over 100 countries. Her latest successes involve opening a pop-up store in L.A.

Clothes and ceramics

This time the Vogue wrote about Szandra’s favourite ceramics – something she adores and collects.

Collaborating with the Noha ceramics studio, Szandra designed her own pieces,

and this caught the attention of the fashion magazine.

The ceramics bear her trademark shades, pastel pink, and earth colours, and according to Szandra’s plans, they will be available both in her store and online.
