Orbán opens EuroSkills Budapest 2018 competition
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Tuesday opened the EuroSkills Budapest 2018 competition for young European skilled workers.
Europe can only overcome its competitive disadvantage by training excellent skilled workers, the prime minister said in his address.
Young people are part of a “historic match being played between the world’s continents”, Orbán said.
He added that Europe’s population is ageing and in decline, which he said had put the continent at a “serious competitive disadvantage”.
“We can make up this disadvantage by training excellent skilled workers,” Orbán said.
“Europe will only regain its strength if we raise and train the world’s best skilled workers.”
