Airbnb stays in Budapest on an incredible rise in 2017
Guest nights spent in Budapest through Airbnb rose by 35 percent to almost 1.5 million last year, Colliers International said on Wednesday.
Fully 69 percent of those guest nights were at homes in the central fifth, sixth and seventh districts, according to the report.
Airbnb’s share of the total guest nights spent by visitors to Budapest rose to 14.3 percent last year from 10.2 percent in 2016.
Comparable figures in big European cities were 15.2 percent in Paris, 13.2 percent in Barcelona, 11.7 percent in Amsterdam, 10.1 percent in Madrid and just 6.9 percent in London.
Almost two-thirds of Airbnb homestay providers in Budapest offer visitors more than two places to stay.
