The Hungarian Great Market Hall chosen as the best market in Europe

Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu writes that CNN Travel’s list chose the Great Market Hall as the best market in Europe, passing famous markets like the Mercat de San Josep de la Boqueira in Barcelona, the Istanbul Grand Bazaar, the Portobello Road in London and the Les Puces in Paris.
The website praises the market hall and gives an overview of its history. They write that the construction was finished at the end of the 19th century and that the market was one of the most modern buildings at the time with its special lighting and refrigerator system. They describe the spacious and airy construction as a cathedral made of iron.
The stalls of the vendors are connected with wide passageways. Unfortunately the building was badly damaged in WWII and it only regained its glory in the 1990s, after renovations. Since then, it is one of the most famous and visited sights in Budapest.

No one said it was the best. They told us about their five favorites, that’s all.
Actually they did. It’s the only ‘Market’ mentioned. The other four are streets of Markets in one area. The Market Hall is a single building, so the author is correct.
