Hungarian families stuck in Kazakhstan! – This is how they experience the events

A Hungarian man got stuck with his wife and two children in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The man reported that they were sleeping in clothes, ready to flee. He also said that they wanted to break into their home at one point.
Dramatic situation in Kazakhstan
There have been no big riots in Kazakhstan like the one going on now since independence was won in 1991. There are demonstrations all over the country. As a part of this, buildings are set on fire and attacked. Looting and street fights are commonplace.
Péter Sebestyén lives in Kazakhstan with his wife and two children. They live farther from the city centre, but they are not safe either.
“A group of five wanted to break into the complex yesterday, but we could deal with that,”
Sebestyén said. He added that there was a residential rally recently where residents tried to come together and prepare for any situation. They collected medicines and bandages in the event of a more serious clash, writes portfolio.hu.

“They said that, if possible, no one should undress, like in the military, and be ready for action, so you have to sleep in clothes,”
says the man living in Almaty. Sebestyén added that they do not notice riots during the day. There is peace on the streets. However, going shopping or getting administrative tasks done is almost impossible as most stores have closed, and the ones that are open soon run out of stock.
