Energy crisis: Hungarian restaurant takes a risky move to survive

Change language:
While others try to lower their costs by closing for short periods or lowering the temperature, Tilos a Tilos restaurant decided to expand the menu and even offer cheaper dishes.
The Tilos az Á was a legendary entertainment venue in the heart of Budapest’s 8th district. It got its name from a Winnie-the-Pooh reference, and its basement was the place for many alternative concerts. It closed in 1995.
Today on its place Tilos a Tilos restaurant can be found. It opened three years ago, and the opening was in the winter season. This was an unfortunate timing, and the costumers rarely came.
