IBM Hungary occupies its brand-new offices in Corvin Innovation Campus
The first phase of Futureal’s Corvin Innovation Campus has already obtained the occupancy permit. The complex, built in the extension of Corvin Promenade, is one of the most energy-efficient office buildings in Hungary and it is also a home to IBM Hungary’s new head office. The global technology company has already moved into the office building equipped with almost completely contactless solutions.
The nine-story, eco-friendly, sustainable, and people-centred complex has been designed to meet the needs of energy-sensitive users. The Corvin Innovation Campus in Budapest is one of the two office buildings in the country that have obtained one of the highest, AA+ energy certifications. Construction of the first phase of the 16,650 sqm development was completed at the beginning of the year, reaching 70 per cent occupancy by the time it opened. The building situated in the immediate vicinity of Corvin Promenade was developed according to BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum certifications to ensure it has a positive impact on the well-being and health of the people that work there.
Corvin Innovation Campus located at the intersection of Szigony Street, Tömő Street, Apáthy István Street and Balassa Street was realised according to BREEAM sustainability standards. Therefore, it features solar panels and a low-carbon smart parking system. At least 10% of the parking spaces has been equipped with electric chargers. The intelligent building management system that ensures the optimal operation of the mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the low-carbon and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems are fully standard in the complex.
IBM Hungary at the CIC
At the Corvin Innovation Campus, IBM in Hungary has set up its brand-new office and has already moved into the office building in spring. The new workspace is designed according to the latest standards of collaborative, green spaces and services and equipped with almost completely contactless solutions. Housed in the new office will be both, the company’s office for domestic operations and IBM Hungary International Shared Service Center.

Due to the Corvin Promenade, the area offers complete retail, dining, sport facilities and full range of services. The pet-friendly building located in the vicinity of the metro station is easily and quickly accessible by public transport. The office building will have an increased number of bike storage facilities, separate showers and lockers, a café for the convenience of employees and guests.

As part of Futureal’s Stay Safe initiative common areas at Corvin Innovation Campus will become almost completely contactless. Automatic doors and light switches with card sensors, as well as safe distance signs will be set in the building. Based on their decision during check in the above average size elevators will take employees and visitors to the right floor without touching a button, the toilets will also be equipped with contactless rinsing, hand washing and soap dispensers.
At the main entrance of the Corvin Innovation Campus, Futureal is realizing a memorial park, which will be named after the famous Hungarian actress Irén Psota. The category ‘A’ office building with unique facades is surrounded by renovated and green public space and widened roads as part of the development.
