Hungarian doctors have had enough: Campaign and demonstration for drastic changes

Change language:
Hungarian doctors are urging the government to act on the country’s underfunded healthcare system. The Hungarian Chamber of Doctors (MOK) is launching a campaign for greater investment and a shift in public attitudes. On 8 March, doctors will stage a demonstration in Budapest to demand urgent change and better support for the healthcare sector.
Hungarian doctors raise concerns
As Pénzcentrum writes, Hungarian doctors are raising concerns over the country’s struggling healthcare system through a social campaign. At a press conference, Dr Péter Álmos highlighted the severe underfunding of the sector, with a shortfall of HUF 10 billion (EUR 24.6 million) already impacting public health. The president of the Hungarian Chamber of Doctors (MOK) warned that the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic have left medical staff exhausted, increasing tension between doctors and patients. He pointed to alarming statistics, including Hungary’s highest cancer mortality rate in the EU and declining health screenings. Dr Álmos stressed that beyond financial shortcomings, generational habits and lifestyle choices also play a role in the nation’s health crisis.

National campaign
Hungarian doctors are intensifying efforts to address the chronic underfunding of the healthcare system, with the Hungarian Chamber of Doctors (MOK) launching a campaign to push for increased government support. MOK President Dr Péter Álmos criticised the lack of response to professional recommendations, citing the restructuring of the on-call system as a factor accelerating the departure of GPs.

Well. Fidesz have been in charge since 2010 – so blaming the previous administration would be strange.
Cannot see how our Politicians could blame “Soros!”, the “Liberal Elites!” or “Brussels!”. Reallocate some of that free cash (which we do not need, according to some) from the European Union?
Here is what has been relayed to me by Hungarian medical staff. Government representatives show up in your hospital at odd hours. They see that a nurse is not wearing white socks – she gets a deduction on her pay. Someone’s name badge is not completely visible – he gets a deduction on his pay. You refer too many patients for chemotherapy – you get a deduction on your pay. Morale could not be lower. Fidesz needs to be kicked out of office as soon as possible for the well-being of Hungarians.
Over the course of (15) fifteen years, the loss of Doctors – in all categories of Medicine throughout the entire Public Health and PRIVATE system in Hungary has been APPALLING.
It continues just as Education – Educators that in appraising there FUTURE careers , the offers, the possibilities of advancement and financial recognition of there qualifications, that Hungary, has NO attraction(s) – to stay and work in systems and conditions, that are THROUGH the neglect of prioritization by the Orban led Fidesz Government over the course of (15) fifteen years, have been horrendously under funded – of NO level of investment, to bring them up to 21st century standards & quality.
It WILL WORSEN.
Hungarians – have enough FACT’s and Truth – at there DISPOSAL – to again have Proof – that it is beyond “reasonable doubt ” – on the subject of this article – the gargantuan FAILINGS again of the Orban led Fidesz Government – there in-ability to have PRIORITIZED – in the needs – the daily and future needs of ALL Hungarians.
May you should tell your readers most of the covid BS was just that.people who got the shots most vulnerable. Mask and distance regiments were a joke – how many small business were destroyed with closures.
