President Áder meets Britain’s Cameron – Photos
London, May 24 (MTI) – Hungarian President János Áder on Tuesday met British Prime Minister David Cameron in London to discuss, among other issues, climate change-related questions.
Áder is on a three-day visit in the UK attending a series of events held in honour of Saint Thomas Becket (1118-1170).

The president told reporters after the meeting that he had proposed to Cameron that the world’s ten largest greenhouse gas emitters should use the momentum gained by the Paris climate deal to reach an even more ambitious agreement. Áder said Cameron supported the idea.
Áder also proposed that the OECD could coordinate climate cooperation between either the G7 or G20 countries in finding cost-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for storing excess renewable energy. Although the world is spending an increasing amount of money on developing alternative energy, the biggest challenge is storing the excess energy gained from these sources, Áder said.
The talks briefly touched on Britain’s June 23 referendum on European Union membership. Cameron said the latest polls indicate that voters will choose to stay in the bloc.
Áder later visited Westminster Abbey where John Hall, the Dean of Westminster, placed the relic of Thomas Becket on the altar.
The president then laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior in the church.

President Ader is wasting his time trying to talk to David Cameron who is a 100% committed Europhile, Cameron, as the British Public are finding out during the Brexit referendum will do or say anything to support the Commissioners grip on the EU. But best of luck to President Ader and Hungary for their continued refusal to accept the EU’s Quota system.
