New Year’s miracle in Uganda

Globoport.hu writes that the African-Hungarian Union helped the people in Uganda to start 2017 with a smile on their faces: they brought packages, which included personalized gift boxes sent by families, hygienic products, and food, to the St. Kizito Babies Home.

AHU’s welfare program kicked off a year ago in the St. Kizito Babies Home, located at the Elgon Mountain in Uganda. Via the program people can virtually adopt the little ones and help them financially while occasionally giving them material goods as well. The young residents are raised by nuns, and they were extremely happy when the team of AHU arrived during the lunchtime.

The author and one of the visitors, Mónika L Novák, writes that Sister Rose gave them all the necessary information on what the Home needs, already before their visit. Therefore, thanks to the available contribution money, they could pack loads of cooking oil, flour, beans, rice, sugar, salt, spices, butter, jam, biscuits, baby food, diapers, hygienic and washing products, and detergents.

The residents felt that they were going to get some gifts, though, they were already happy that they were visited: at these times there are a lot of people around to play with them and care about them. The kids’ curious glances accompanied the gifts collected by the supporting parents, they barely wanted to let go of their new things.
