In Italy, not far from the Austrian border the Carnia ski slope is located where many tourists enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and the freedom given by skiing. The Ravascletto – Monte Zoncolan slope is also located nearby and only a few kilometres away there is a hotel where on the reception a cute surprise awaits arriving guests.

NL Café reported that Nala the young Hungarian female vizsla dog is also part of the hotel’s staff. Her owner is surprisingly the owner of the hotel as well and keens on making it dog-friendly.

Nala was rescued by Vizslamentés Magyarország (an association which rescues vizslas), got a new owner, and now she also has a job as a receptionist. The owner of the hotel shared the story of how the hotel became dog-friendly.

“Years ago, we only had a few Hungarian guests and we did not think about making the hotel suitable for dog owners arriving with their pets. Then Brownie came with his owner every year, and they gave us the idea.”

The Hungarian vizsla is one of the smartest dog breeds in the world. Brownie – who is also a vizsla – helped to understand that directing a hotel and caring for dogs easily can be combined.

“After a while, we wanted our own dog. We looked it up where to buy it, but after a long investigation and studying these dogs’ situation we decided that we would rather adopt one. Our only demand was that the dog must come from Hungary and nowhere else. Brownie is also a rescued and adopted dog by Vizslamentés. That is how Nala became our dog.”

Nala is having her best time in the hotel, makes every people smile around her and she is loved by her owner. She is not scared when new guests arrive at the hotel.

Every time when a guest arrives with a vizsla from Vizslamentés, the hotel’s owner sends a bag of dog food to the association.
