According to globoport.hu, the African-Hungarian Union (AHU), the Asian Hungary Society, the Latin American-Hungarian Society (LATIMO), civil groups and the Hungarian Trade and Cultural Center (HTCC) expressed gratitude to its partners on a January 13 reception.
HTCC aims to strengthen the Hungarian-world economic commercial and cultural relations, so it supports the non-governmental initiatives which serve this purpose. Several diplomatic and governmental representatives and the members of the economic and cultural life attended the event.
Sandor Balogh, president of AHU told that the organization had a very successful year. He listed the important events and projects as well: 3 medical missions, the beginning of the construction of the Kapeke hospital, and the business delegation, led by Minister of National Development Miklos Sesztak, which traveled to Uganda in order to enhance the economic ties between Hungary and Africa, globoport.hu website reported.
