The Board of Trustees of the Public Service Media Foundation has elected Anita Altorjai the new chief executive of Duna Médiaszolgáltató, the public service media service provider, effective August 15, the head of the body said on Wednesday.

The board of trustees elected a new chief executive to replace Menyért Dobos, who had headed Duna Médiaszolgáltató since 1 July, 2015, and submitted his request for retirement to the board in May, László Balogh told MTI.

Altorjai began her career in journalism in 1987 after graduating from Pécs’s Janus Pannonius University. She worked as a producer and on-air host at public television Magyar Televízió until 1998. She then went on to head parliament’s press service before becoming press director at the President’s Office in 2012.
