The Budapest Corvinus University has achieved a major international success, becoming the only Hungarian institution to be included in the Financial Times’ prestigious global ranking of the best Master’s in Finance programs.

Budapest Corvinus University’s finance programme among the world’s best

The university’s English-language Master’s in Finance program climbed six places from last year, reaching 63rd position in the Financial Times Top 70 Masters in Finance ranking. The ranking evaluates a wide range of factors, including graduates’ salaries, career progression, salary growth, and the international diversity of students and faculty, the Hungarian news agency wrote.

Corvinus performed particularly strongly in terms of value for money, rising to 14th place worldwide. In this category, it ranked ahead of several renowned institutions, including London Business School and Italy’s Bocconi University.

According to the university, graduates surveyed three years after completing the program earn an average annual salary of around HUF 20 million (€50,000), representing a 62% increase compared to their starting salaries. Corvinus Rector Bruno van Pottelsberghe said the result demonstrates both the international quality of the program and its ability to provide graduates with a real career advantage.
