Budapest, September 30 (MTI) – The Budapest city council general meeting on Wednesday approved friendship and cooperation agreement between the Hungarian capital and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City.

The agreement signed on Sept. 7 involved cooperation in economic development, tourism, culture, education, city management and infrastructure development.

The general meeting also approved a letter of intent for cooperation between Budapest and Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar, authorising Budapest Mayor Istvan Tarlos to sign the cooperation agreement. Hungary and Mongolia celebrate this year the 65th anniversary of entering diplomatic relations and on this occasion the governor and mayor of Ulaanbaatar, Erdene Bat-Uul, will visit Budapest in October.
