New chapter in Budapest taxi services: travelling with these taxis will become safer in the capital

Following a new agreement between Budapest’s Főtaxi service provider and the Budapest Civil Guard Association, taxi travel will become safer in the Hungarian capital.
According to infostart.hu, Főtaxi and the Budapest Civil Guard Association signed the agreement and announced the initiative this afternoon. Their aim is to improve the safety of taxi services in Budapest, particularly during the evening and late-night hours.
Under the terms of the agreement, civil guards will provide a visible presence, offer professional guidance, and intervene in emergencies involving employees of Főtaxi, especially during late-night hours and in the city’s busiest areas. Furthermore, the two parties will share information related to public space safety, thereby regularly supporting a more effective civil guard presence in Budapest.

According to Pál Kardos, President of the Budapest Civil Guard Association, the organisation has 1,300 members working daily to ensure the safety of Budapest residents. “Working together with Főtaxi allows us to provide support where it is truly needed,” he added.
Roland Károlyi, CEO of Főtaxi, emphasised the importance of ensuring the safety of both passengers and staff. “We are proud to count the Budapest Civil Guard Association as our partner in achieving this goal,” Mr Károlyi said.

According to Főtaxi, they view their partnership with the Budapest Civil Guard Association as a significant step towards enhancing safety in the capital’s taxi services.
