Up next, a sea calf show will start at 11 AM, to be followed by a presentation about the life of giraffes and mhorr gazelles. At noon, a presentation will be shown about the world of sharks and rays. At 3 PM, visitors can watch an elephant training session. The other programmes include presentations about bears, flamingos, gorillas, tigers, rhinos and reptiles.

The programmes have been organised in partnership with WWF Hungary, the Budapest Jane Goodall Institute and the Budapest Herman Otto Institute, among others.

The UN General Assembly dedicated 3 March as World Wildlife Day in 2013 to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild fauna and flora. It marks the day of the signing of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in 1973.
