A serious road accident occurred on Sunday morning in Dobrá Niva (Dobronya), where a coach travelling through central Slovakia overturned, leaving several people injured.
The incident took place around 8:00 AM in the Zvolen district. According to initial reports from Slovak emergency services, the bus ended up on its side under circumstances that are still under investigation, Új Szó reported.
International passengers, including Hungarians
Authorities confirmed that the vehicle was carrying two drivers and 16 passengers at the time of the incident. Among them were citizens of several countries, including Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia.
The coach was reportedly travelling from Croatia to Poland when the accident occurred.

Emergency response and injuries
Emergency services responded quickly, dispatching three ambulances and an air ambulance helicopter to the scene.
In total, nine passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries. A 27-year-old Polish woman was airlifted to a hospital in Banská Bystrica (Besztercebánya), also with non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite the scale of the incident, authorities indicated that all injuries were classified as minor.

Road closure and evacuation efforts
Following the crash, police closed the affected stretch of road in both directions to allow emergency operations and on-site investigations to proceed safely.
Firefighters also sent a replacement bus to evacuate passengers from the accident site.
The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash.
