Coronavirus in Hungary: latest numbers – March 29, 2022

Altogether 48 patients died of a Covid-related illness over the past 24 hours, while 1,730 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Tuesday.

So far 6,402,100 people have received a first jab, while 6,186,486 have been double-jabbed. Fully 3,842,265 Hungarians have received a booster third shot and 256,527 a fourth shot.

The number of active infections has gone down to 100,193, while

hospitals are treating 1,896 Covid-19 patients, 55 of whom are intubated on a ventilator.

Since the first outbreak, 1,846,311 have been registered with the virus, while

45,390 deaths have been recorded.

Fully 1,700,728 people have made a recovery.
