Croatia ready to discuss open issues with Péter Magyar’s new government

Croatia is ready to start talks on the resolution of open issues with Hungary, including oil supplies, once the new Hungarian government is set up, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said in Zagreb on Wednesday.
One of the most important issues would be supplies to the oil refineries in Szazhalombatta, near Budapest, and in Bratislava, as well as the operation of Janaf, the company operating the Croatian section of the Adria pipeline, Plenkovic told a news conference after a board meeting of his Croatian Democratic Party (HDZ).
Recently, 16 ships’ worth of non-Russian oil was delivered to Hungary and Slovakia through the Omisalj terminal, he said, adding that the delivery proved that the pipeline was reliable and functional.
Plenkovic noted that at a phone call with Magyar on Sunday, they both signalled the intention to improve bilateral ties. He said the most important open issue was the relation between INA and Mol, the Croatian and Hungarian oil company, respectively.
