(MTI) – A total of 57 percent of decided voters support the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrats, followed by 17 percent supporting the Socialists and 14 percent the radical nationalist Jobbik according to a poll by Tarki published on Wednesday.

Among decided voters, the Democratic Coalition can expect 5 percent support, green LMP 4 percent and Bajnai’s E-PM 3 percent at the EP election.

The Fidesz-Christian Democrats also maintain a significant lead among all voters, with 38 percent support. They are followed by the Socialists with 11 percent and Jobbik with 10 percent. LMP and the Democratic Coalition each enjoy 3 percent support and E-PM 2 percent in this group.

Tarki said 31 percent of voters said they do not plan to go to the polls at the European parliamentary elections on May 25 or refuse to tell which party they support.

While 67 percent of voters said the EP elections were important, only 42 percent said they were certain to go to the polls.

The poll was prepared between May 7 and 15 on a representative samlpe.
