A Hungarian woman living in Türkiye talked about her experience to TV2’s Tények news magazine. She lives in a temporary home with her 5-year-old daughter. She added they heat snow to get drinkable water. There is no fuel because oil deliverers cannot approach the fuel station on the useless roads.
She desperately tries to get home to Hungary with her daughter, ripost.hu wrote. Since they used all their money for living in the last few days, they ran out of financial resources. The stress makes Dominika Kovács sick. For example, she regularly vomits, the news magazine added.
They cannot get out because of the lack of fuel. A small airport serves the city, but all tickets are booked. They could only have bought a ticket for a flight departing days later.
Meanwhile, the Hungarian rescue teams work 24/7 to save as many people as possible in Türkiye. For example, they dug an 8 metres long cave to reach a 17-year-old Turkish girl, nlc.hu said. Here is a video:
By this morning, the number of deaths reached more than 24 thousand in Türkiye and Syria.
