Chad-Hungary cooperation deepening

One of the greatest security threats for Europe is migration from the south, and the Hungarian government is committed to taking help where it is needed, rather than importing trouble here, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday, in connection with talks conducted by a government delegation in Chad on cooperation between the two countries.
Hungarian activities in the region aim to ensure the security and stability of the Sahel, a strategically important region when it comes to illegal migration and its root cause, terrorism, the statement said. Hungary also aims to fight terrorism, handle the migration crisis and to provide humanitarian aid, it said.
A delegation led by László Eduard Máthé, the government commissioner responsible for the coordination of government action in the Sub-Saharan region, met President Mahamat Idris Deby on February 25, the statement said.
