George Clooney commented on Orbán’s Hungary again

According to the actor, it will be much more difficult for the Hungarian leader to justify his system in the future.

George Clooney addressed Viktor Orbán once again, Népszava noticed on Süddeutsche Zeitung.

You might remember that a few weeks ago Clooney associated hatred and anger with PM Viktor Orbán and his leadership in an interview. The statement kicked up dust and the leading politicians of the ruling Fidesz party reacted quite vehemently. For instance, Justice Minister Judit Varga invited the actor for a coffee so that she can enlighten him about the “real situation”.

Although the movie star says there is a lot of hatred and division in the world, on January 20, with Joe Biden coming to power, a lot will change. Thus, it will be much more difficult for the Hungarian leader to justify his system. According to the current position Clooney predicts that PM Orbán will remain Hungary’s first man for the rest of his life, but it will not be easy for him to speak in an authoritarian voice when the president in the White House is not someone who declares the press the enemy of the people.

So from that point on, Orbán cannot claim that the US is doing the same as he is.

The actor made the statement while promoting his new film, The Midnight Sky, in which he plays a scientist. The world has just been hit by a disaster, humanity is extinct and a specialist working in the North Pole wants to prevent an expedition from returning from outer space.

For that matter, George Clooney is not the only one having such associations….
