Hungarian chocolate wonder chosen as the best bonbon of the world
According to glamour.hu, a Hungarian chocolate manufacture dazzled the jury of the world championship of chocolates with an apple pie inspired caramel bonbon. The Bonbonier Chocolate Manufacture repeated their summer success when they triumphed with their salted caramel & peanut truffle.
The team of Bonbonier decided to enter this year’s International Chocolate Awards with their exquisite apple pie & caramel bonbon. In the past three years, they have won seventeen international awards with their special bonbons, truffles and ice cream combination.
Two of their caramel flavoured chocolate creations have already been acknowledged this year.
The award-winning bonbon is filled with crème caramel that is made with cinnamon apple. The soft, silky texture of the apple and the crème caramel is in perfect harmony with the crunchy dark chocolate cover. The aroma of the chocolate is completed with a little cinnamon.
“I started experimenting with caramel this year. Beside the international trends, I wanted to present a sprinkle of Hungary. This is how I came up with the combination of apple pie and caramel” said Nóra Erdélyi, the chocolatier of the manufacture.
“I am very proud of my achievements this year. In August, my salted caramel & peanut truffle was awarded at the Great Taste Awards, while my apple pie inspired bonbon won the bronze medal at the International Chocolate Awards. I usually serve the most popular bonbons in the form of ice cream during summer, and I use them for cakes in winter” added the specialist.
For that matter, the International Chocolate Awards is an independent competition recognising excellence in fine chocolate making and the products made with fine chocolate. They aim to support companies producing fine chocolate and chocolatiers, small companies and artisans working with fine chocolate.
