The Hungarian Robot-X made an agreement on cooperation with the Danish Universal Robots recently, writes hvg.hu referring to MTI.

The collaborative robot manufacturing company Universal Robots (UR) made an agreement with Robot-X Hungary ltd., a Hungarian firm leading the market of industrial robotics. The cooperation with the Danish UR is expected to be especially beneficial as it may foster the securing of the market position of Robot-X.

According to the Central Eastern European CEO of UR, the market of the collaborative robots is going to triple within the next six years; furthermore, Hungary appears to be on the way to become a stronger participant.

Universal Robots was founded in Denmark in 2005 and put its first robot to the market in December 2008. The company has markets in 55 countries and employs approximately 300 people all over the world. Moreover, UR has subsidiaries and regional offices in the US, Singapore, India, China, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic as well.

The Hungarian member of the cooperation was founded in 2006 and has specialized in designing and implementing complete automatic production and assembly lines since 2011. The services provided by Robot-X involve the most important areas of the automation of production. The company had 73 employees in last December and a net turnover of 1.7 billion HUF (approx. 5.5 million EUR) in 2014, whereas in 2015 it was over 2 billion HUF (about 6.4 million EUR).
