Hungarian Cultural Week In Pozsony (Bratislava) Draws Capacity Crowds
Bratislava, June 17 (MTI) – The Hungarian Cultural Week in Bratislava entitled “More Than a Neigbour” surpassed organisers’ expectations by drawing capacity crowds all week long.
The series of events ended with a concert by the Zuglo Philharmonic Orchestra on Monday.
The festival, marking the end of Hungary’s year-long presidency of the Visegrad Group, was organised by the Hungarian Embassy, the Hungarian Institute in Bratislava and several NGOs.
Most of the open-air events took place on Hviezdoslav Square, one of the city’s best-known squares in the Old Town. The programme featured a wide variety of events, such as concerts, film screenings, plays, wine tastings and a three-day gastronomy festival.
