Hungarian Honorary Consul arrested for indecent exposure in Florida
According to mno.hu, six men were arrested for indecent exposure, solicitation by undercover detectives at one of the beaches in Saratosa, found in Florida. One of the arrested men was István Gergátz, Hungary’s Honorary Consul of the region.
Local authorities stated that the men, ranging in age from 52 to 80, showed off their sexual organs at a beach in Saratosa. The 71-year-old Stephen Gergatz, or, Gergátz István, was caught by the undercover detectives along with five other men exposing sexual organs or soliciting lewd behaviour. The detectives monitored Caspersen beach on Tuesday and Friday last week.
There was also an 80-year-old man among the suspects, who allegedly made indecent offers to bathers. After the arrest, the men were released on 500$ bond. Stephen Gergatz, in particular was released Friday evening.
Gergátz’s photo can be found on the website of Hungarian Honorary Consuls, and if we compare this photo with the one published by mysuncoast.com, it is obvious that he really is one of the suspects.
Mno.hu tried to contact the consul, because they wanted to ask his side of the story, and whether or not he was planning to resign. They also tried to contact the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, but they didn’t receive any answers (yet).
István Gergátz was commissioned in 2012 and inaugurated in August, 2015 by Csaba Hende, Minister of Defence at the time, in the Venice Petőfi Hungarian Club House in Florida. The Hungarian Ministry of Defence even announced the news on its Facebook page referring to kormany.hu, however, the announcement has been deleted from the official website of the government.

Hi there, I read through a few of your articles here. I did have a question though that I hope you
could answer. I was wondering, How do police officers deal with people who don’t speak
their language? I’m trying to become a cop in a city
where much of the population doesn’t speak english well.
I would really appreciate any help you could give me!
You must be a Londoner. You have to take a FLOE (Foreign language other than English course first.
