Hungarian man attacks lesbian couple because ’Orbán would do the same’

Wielding a knife, I. K. attacked two lesbian women on the tram in Hungary, using a hateful and threatening tone. The man was sentenced to five years in prison for the crime of violence against members of the community. During his hearing, he said something quite interesting: ‘Viktor Orbán has the same views’.

“I’ll cut your throats, I’ll make you bleed to death!”

“All these [people] should be killed! (…) What are you f*ggots doing here? I’ll cut your throats, I’ll make you bleed to death!” According to witnesses, in the autumn of 2021, K. I. made such and similar insults and threats to two women on Budapest tram number 52, who were holding hands.

The incident occurred in the late evening hours, hvg.hu reports. The two victims were already sitting on the tram when the accused boarded the vehicle with a can of beer in his hand. Witness testimony suggested that the man was slightly tipsy, although he denied this. He only admitted that he had alcohol on him.

The tram driver took the two women to safety

According to the indictment, he threatened the two women with a knife, a 9 cm blade. With it, he made several stabbing motions towards the victims. The incident was stopped by the tram driver. After repeated warnings, he finally got the man off the tram before the Határ Street terminus.

The driver then took the two women to the BKV rest area. By that time, one of them had already called the police. The man was watching the victims at the terminus for some time and then left. He returned later, by which time the police had arrived and arrested him.

The case was referred to the Metropolitan Court of Justice

By its order of 6 October 2022, the Pest Central District Court found that the act charged in the indictment could also be classified as a crime of preparation of homicide. In view of this, the case was referred to the Metropolitan Court of Justice with jurisdiction and competence.

The case was heard by the Metropolitan Court on Thursday morning. The middle-aged I. K., who had not graduated from high school, stuck to his earlier statement: he does not feel guilty. The man has a criminal record since 2005, including assault, hooliganism, harassment and drunk driving. I. K. did not wish to comment on his previous statement read out by the judge.

The accused said that Hungary and the world are not yet at the point where same-sex couples can be doing “that kind of thing” (holding hands and kissing) in public.

“Viktor Orbán thinks the same way,”

he said.

Good that Hungary has decent sentences for these kind of people who are nothing but a menace to the society. Lets hope that a few years of sober life in jail will make him think about doing something useful in his remaining life. Those two women will now always remember the fear of being stabbed in a public transport and it will likely make their lives difficult as anxiety kicks in every time they use public transport. Serves right that the man is put for a long time in jail.

Can’t allow random people to threaten others with physical harm unless the others are in the progress of commiting a crime. When I was a child in Hungary people were hugging, kissing, holding hands, linked arms to go walking…no one associated sexual acts with friends or relatives enjoying their days. Has everyone forgotten seeing men of all ages or women of all ages walking arm in arm?

When I was last at home I was disgusted with older teens kissing & young adults in postal outlets, banks etc…in otherwords, public places, work places. Girls sitting in boys’ laps in similar places while they mauled one another. Maybe that is the problem, too free morality then welcomes tht behavior to other social groups that used to have common sense to keep private matters private. We also saw a man molesting a very drunk woman…one who could not give permission for such handling….this on a streetcar late one evening after leaving the movies. The police would have been called in a more caring place. I had no cell.

Oh, relax, everyone. This was a drunkard with a few screws loose, clearly intent on causing trouble (why else carry a knife with you to begin with?!?). If it wouldn’t have been these two women for this reason, it would’ve been someone else for that reason or for no reason at all. He’s off the streets now, and good riddance. Kudos to the trolley driver for stepping in. It wouldn’t happen in many places, especially in the Western world.

They should put him in a Silver back’s cage in the zoo, after feeding the primates couple of viagras.

I dearly hope that our Pm (and his besties) take a note of what that guy said, because that guy isn’t the only one who clings onto(and acts on) the PM’s extreme views.
