A website called Stadium Database chooses the most beautiful stadium out of 25 stadiums from all around the world. Good news for Hungarians football fans is that two Hungarian teams’ stadium have been chosen among the top 25.

Stadium Database will choose for the ninth consecutive time which is the best-looking stadium around the Globe, reports borsonline.hu. There are two Hungarian stadiums in this list: these are the MOL Arena Sóstó and the DVTK Stadium.

At the same contest in 2014, two Hungarian football stadiums, the Groupama Aréna and the Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen were nominated, too. At that time, Nagyerdei Stadium was ranked as the fourth most beautiful stadium in the world. Since then, there was no such big success in this international competition.

Videoton’s stadium:

The stadium of Hungary’s 2017-18 Champion MOL Vidi FC owns a magnificent stadium in the city of Székesfehérvár. The construction of the football complex was between 2016 and 2018. Its capacity is 14,144, their first game against Újpest FC in the stadium was on 21st November 2018. MOL Vidi seems like they deserved the stadium as they ended up 3rd at the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League Group L.

Diósgyőr’s stadium:

The new stadium was presented in May 2018, its capacity is 14,655. In the 2017-18 Hungarian Football Season, Diósgyőr was close to fall out from Hungarian first league. Despite of the almost-fall-out of Diósgyőr, the club has the most fans and the best atmosphere in Hungarian football matches. The team does not have the most visitors in average, but the stadium can be filled up with more than 10,000 visitors easily.

At the most beautiful stadium in the world contest, there are more aspects when the jury decides which stadium is going to win the competition, says Péter Bordás, the architect of the new Debreceni VSC Stadium that was built up in 2014. Aspects such as architecture, function and price-value ratio. The last one, price-value ratio is highly important, because too expensive stadiums have low chance of winning this competition. So these two Hungarian football stadiums have high chance to become the most beautiful stadium in the world.
