The tragic incident occurred in Ohlsdorf, a small village in Oberösterreich (Upper Austria), and police are investigating it as a workplace accident. According to their report, the Hungarian worker was attempting to tighten a moment clamp more firmly on a prefabricated concrete panel to correct the wall’s skewed alignment.

However, to reach his tool, he leaned a ladder against the unattached element and climbed onto it. At that point, the concrete panel shifted and fell on the 34-year-old man.

Firefighters and his colleagues extracted him from under the panel, but paramedics could only confirm his death.
