In support of the common EU position, Hungary does not recognise the annexation of Ukrainian territories.
Gergely Gulyás, the PM’s chief of staff said at yesterday’s Cabinet Briefing that Hungary does not recognise the annexation of the four Ukrainian territories. However, Gulyás was unable to answer the question of what Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at their recent meeting. Gulyás said that dialogue is the key to peace in Ukraine.
