Hungary exports almost 770,000 hectolitres of wine in 2014

Budapest (MTI) – Almost 770,000 of the 2.7 million hectolitres of wine Hungary produced last year was exported, the farm ministry’s state secretary said at a conference in Badacsony, a wine region on Lake Balaton, on Saturday.

The exports generated about 85 million euros in revenue, Gyorgy Czervan said.

Hungarian vintners’ biggest market was Germany, which bought 150,000 hectolitres.
