Hungary PM to travel to Beijing
Beijing, February 7 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orban will pay a visit to Beijing between Feb. 11 and 13, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office said today.
Bertalan Havasi said Orban will hold talks with Chinese Li Keqiang and agreements will be signed during the visit.
Orban will also meet President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the standing committee of the national people’s congress, Havasi said.
According to Chinese sources, Orban will be heading what will be the largest ever Hungarian delegation of company leaders and businessmen to the Chinese capital.
The Hungarian premier is scheduled to deliver a lecture at the Chinese academy of sciences and meet students at the Hungarian cultural institute.
Orban’s planned China visit was announced in Beijing last June, but Hungary asked for a postponement due to a commitment in Brussels.
Last November, during the central and eastern Europe – China summit in Bucharest, the Chinese prime minister confirmed the possibility of a meeting with Orban in the near future.
