Hungary President Sends Condolences To Turkey Over Mine Disaster
Budapest, May 14 (MTI) – President Janos Ader sent condolences to his Turkish counterpart over the mine disaster that killed more than 200 people, Ader’s office told MTI on Wednesday.
Ader wrote in a telegram to Abdullah Gul that he learnt with sorrow about the tragic disaster that occurred on Tuesday.
“Let me express on my behalf, and on behalf of the Hungarian people, our deepest sympathy to your Excellency. I personally share the grief of the families of the victims and wish the injured quick recovery,” Ader said.
According to reports, an explosion caused a pit to collapse near the western Turkish town of Soma, killing at least 240 people.
