Hungary waterworks could build reservoirs in Azerbaijan
(MTI) – Hungary’s Fovarosi Vizmuvek, the waterworks for the city of Budapest, and the Hungarian Water Industry Cluster could be awarded orders to build water reservoirs in Azerbaijan, Judit Fulop, the spokesperson for Hungary’s trade chief Peter Szijjarto, said on Wednesday.
She said only that both companies had already been present in Azerbaijan, having received consultancy orders from state-owned Azeri water management company Azersu.
An economic mixed committee, co-chaired by Szijjarto, has been set up to boost bilateral trade links. In recent years, Hungary’s Hunland Kft exported 500 cattle to Azerbaijan and supplied breeding stock. In February 2013, the Azeri government allocated financing to import 10,000 cattle from Hungary. Additionally, Hungarian salami has been exported to Azerbaijan, Azeri pomegranate has been imported and talks are under way about exports of Hungarian honey and cheese products, the statement said.
