Hungary’s “Athletes of the Year” elected
Budapest, January 12 (MTI) – Rio Olympics champion sabre fencer Áron Szilágyi and three-time Rio Olympics champion swimmer Katinka Hosszú have been elected Hungary’s Athletes of the Year 2016 by the country’s sports journalists.
Hungary’s “Athletes of the Year” – Katinka Hosszú Hungary’s “Athletes of the Year” – Áron SzilágyiHosszú’s coach and husband Shane Tusup was elected the top coach of the year.
The Hungarian national soccer team triumphed in the team category and Gábor Király was elected best footballer.
The awards were handed over to the winners in a gala evening in Budapest’s National Theatre on Thursday evening. The title has been awarded since 1958.
