Hungary’s brand new esports center has opened
Hungary’s brand new esports center, the Delta 1 Esports Café, has opened. The Budapest base uniquely offers trainers, player management, mentoring programs, training camps for amateur and professional e-athletes, and AI training for all interested parties. The new center’s mission is to help all those who want to develop and assert themselves in this field.
On 270 square meters, the Delta 1 Esports Café welcomes gamers and fans of esports with a PC, Playstation and VR section, VIP rooms, a room suitable for team “bootcamp” training, and a training room. However, this place is unique because those interested in the topic can find dedicated coaches for each game, career management, and the legal, financial, and professional mentoring necessary for competing.
“We felt that there was a need for an elite esports club, where e-athletes of the future generation can turn to for advice, expertise, and help. Here, you can meet coaches and join teams, and get into the bloodstream of the scene. Our mission is to raise the domestic talents who, as players, streamers or even commentators, will further enhance the reputation of esports”, said Jakab Attila, founder and managing director of Delta 1 Esports Café, at the opening.
“Delta 1 wants to start a dialogue on important topics such as mental health, gamer culture, or the strengthening of women’s esports,” added Attila Jakab.
The founders of the new community base also consider it important to train domestic professionals, in which they already have considerable experience, since the basics of esports are taught as an independent subject at the University of Óbuda. Delta 1 also works closely with the Hungarian ESports Association (HUNESZ). “At the Hungarian Esport Association, we are working to promote the development and promotion of esports throughout the country. One of the important pillars of our work is connecting and supporting local esports communities. Delta 1 is a great example of the strength of local communities in Hungarian esports. We believe that such initiatives provide an opportunity to develop talents,” said György Balázs Biró, Secretary General of HUNESZ.
The Delta 1 Esports Café is located in Budapest, Lechner Ödön Fasor 1..
