Hungarian supermarket chain introduces innovative Hungarian instant payment system

Hungarian-owned supermarket chain CBA has launched qvik, an instant payment solution recently rolled out by the National Bank of Hungary (NBH), at nine of its stores, CBA chairman Vilmos Lázár said at a press conference on Friday.
Qvik allows instant payments to be made using QR codes by clicking on a link in a mobile application or by approving a payment request. CBA is the first brick-and-mortar retailer to adopt qvik which is already widely used among webshops.
NBH-owned GIRO operates the infrastructure necessary for qvik and Innopay provides the technology.

Over 1.5 million download digital citizenship app
More than 1.5 million people have downloaded the Digital Citizenship Application (DAP) which can be used for personal identification and for two-factor authentication in digital administration, the government spokeswoman said on Friday.
Eszter Vitalyos said the app could also be used for booking an appointment for administrative tasks at “government window” offices, adding that it was suitable for personal identification during police checks, and it included health insurance and tax identification numbers. She said that the application was not collecting any data about its user, but made information accessible at one place.
