Budapest, September 22 (MTI) – The global economic crisis has shown that countries that are capable of standing on their own two feet and fighting hardship are those where production and labour are the basis of the economy, Mihaly Varga, the economy minister, said today.
Hungary’s government decided in 2010 that prosperity cannot be achieved without value-added work, Varga said in Zalaegerszeg, at the inauguration of a one billion forint factory investment by Zalaco Zrt, which makes bakery products.
The development of family enterprises also shows that “the creation of sustainable economic growth, security and prosperity can only be achieved through investments and labour,” he said.
The company’s example also shows that there are a lot of opportunities in Hungarian industry and that, beside multinationals, domestic companies are also capable of expanding production and finding sales opportunities which provide a secure living for companies and their employees, Varga said.
