Is this the Hungarian reality? Fidesz would win 3/4 party majority in election
The ruling alliance of Fidesz and the Christian Democrats would win a 3/4 majority in parliament if elections were held this Sunday, according to a fresh poll by the pro-government Nézőpont Institute.
Among decided voters, Fidesz-KDNP’s list would capture 51 percent of the vote in a general election, Nézőpont said in statement, noting that the poll’s margin of error meant this could be considered identical to the 52 percent won by the ruling parties in 2022.
A united opposition would receive 26 percent of the vote, 10 percent less than in 2022, Nézőpont said.
The radical opposition Mi Hazánk would garner 12 percent of the vote, doubling its share from 2022. The satirical Two-Tailed Dog Party would receive 8 percent, clearing the 5 percent threshold to enter parliament.
Fidesz-KDNP’s votes would translate into 148 seats in Hungary’s 199-seat parliament, up from the current 135.
The left-wing opposition (DK, Jobbik, Momentum, LMP, MSZP) would have 30 seats, 27 less than their current 57. Meanwhile, Mi Hazánk would double its number of MPs with 12 seats, making it the largest opposition group.
The Two-Tailed Dog Party would have 8 seats.
Nézőpont’s phone poll was carried out between March 27 and 29 with a sample of 1,000 adults.

The people of Hungary are too smart to allow socialism/communism to return to Hungary. Gyurcsany, previous prime minister, sold out the country’s industries to globalists and got rich in the process. Hungarians are adamant that no foreign power will ever take away its sovereignty. Prime Minister Orban is the right leader, he never betrayed the country and truly believes “Hungary is for Hungarians ONLY”.
Who’s to say any of these figures are true, let alone whether a survey actually took place! Incidentally the first commentator usually has queries on participants, areas, ages etc when a so called ‘survey’ has taken place, but of course that’s when an item is unfavourable towards the government.
Maria Orban has betrayed the people. He is handing power and money to an elite few who are his personal friends.
You complain about foreign companies in Hungary, but Okay to accept foreign capital. And what about Hungarian companies that own business in other countries? Hipocryte.
Scary thought, “Hungary is for Hungary only”. In many aspects, we are a small fish in a very scary pond, regardless of bullfrog antics of our Politicians.
You’d think that after centuries of wars in Europe and now a long period of relative peace, mainly due to NATO and the EU, people would catch on?
Would anyone advocate the overrun by illegal migrants of any country? Would any EU country give up its sovereignty? Think of Germany, France, Belgium and Holland, these countries are the ones holding real power. These countries set the policy and expect small countries to obey. Is there such thing is justice in the EU, the answer is no. Why would anyone wish to eliminate Hungary, its culture? The country has managed to survive for over 1000 years, and it will survive the dissolution of EU.
