Pro-government newspaper called Magyar Idok wrote that Socialist county chairmen are dissatisfied and they would replace Party Chairman Jozsef Tobias at an early election of officers’ congress. The new person would be Tamas Harangozo, hvg.hu wrote.
In recent weeks, more and more Socialists have been dissatisfied with the party leadership, many people criticized Jozsef Tobias for example, because of he had remained silent during the refugee crisis and instead of it, he focused on raising the wages.
Origo wrote last Saturday that a palace revolution was preparing within the party, since not only the internal opposition of Tobias, but the county chairmen also turned against him. The latter want Tamas Harangozo to be the chairman instead of Jozsef Tobias – Magyar Idok wrote.
Several people are preparing to speak against the party chairman at the party’s congress on November 28 and they call for an early election of officers, since according to the statute, Tobias could be replaced only next spring.
Jozsef Tobias did not want to comment the information of Magyar Idok, he just said he would have liked to arrange the internal problems in the internal fora. Socialist politicians denied that an early election of officers would be going, however, they admitted there were dissatisfied in the party.
Index.hu was informed in August that Deputy Faction Leader Bertalan Toth, who is still unknown for the voters, could be “the messiah who beat Orban”.
