Jobbik calls for counter terrorism coordination forum
Budapest, January 9 (MTI) – The radical nationalist Jobbik party proposed on Friday the immediate setting up of a counter-terrorism coordination forum to discuss the withdrawal of Hungarian soldiers from Asian missions, the re-introduction of capital punishment and a zero tolerance policy on immigration.
Party leader Gabor Vona told a press conference that the “barbaric and lowly” terrorist acts in France could also occur in Hungary and the country therefore needs a detailed action plan.
He said that the forum would be composed of lawmakers of all parliamentary parties.
Vona stressed the need to make it clear that Europe is not against the Islam religion or culture but against terrorism.
