Jobbik: Let the thieves pay!
Press release – In his Facebook post, Jobbik’s president Gábor Vona explained why the Socialist Party’s and László Botka’s policy is unfair and narrow-minded. Mr Vona also revealed how his party wanted to make sure that the burdens of the society are distributed in a fair way.
Let the thieves pay!
In 1947, when Hungarian democracy was completely eliminated, Communist dictator Mátyás Rákosi held a speech titled: “Let the rich pay!” László Botka obviously wanted to mislead the tormented and impoverished Hungarian people when he re-used his predecessor’s message, trying to build the Socialist Party’s policy on envy.
However, those who sow envy will harvest nothing but hatred. “This is not the right way. It always leads to the same thing: eventually, they will even take away the little that people honestly earned.” I come from a farming family, we learnt what it meant when a Socialist was saying things like this. Jobbik agrees as much that certain people must pay. However, we do not want to take away honestly earned fortunes, even if they are great fortunes.
We do expect the honest rich to take a larger share of the society’s burdens but we do not stigmatize them. On the contrary, we want to enable the people of this country to prosper and get richer in an honest way.
So our message to the poor and the middle class is this: LET THE THIEVES PAY! Socialists and Fidesz thieves alike.
