A chilling warning to Vladimir Putin has come from none other than the KGB, the Russian secret service. According to them, it is British intelligence that is preparing an assassination attempt against the Russian president in the Hungarian capital.

Former undercover agent claims the UK wants to eliminate Putin in Budapest

Until this morning, it still seemed possible that Putin, the Russian President, and Trump, the American President, might arrive in Budapest as early as next week for the commemorations of the 1956 Soviet anti-revolution and freedom fight. They were expected to meet to discuss ending the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, a preparatory meeting between the US Secretary of State, Rubio, and Russian Foreign Minister, Lavrov, was postponed due to unresolved disagreements on key issues necessary to conclude the war. This delay could also push back the planned summit in Hungary.

Meanwhile, Andrei Bezrukov, a former undercover agent for the SVR (Russian Foreign Intelligence Service) who was stationed in the United States, has issued a grave warning to the Russian president: Putin’s life could be at risk in Budapest.

Bezrukov advises that any meeting with Trump should instead take place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, because a dangerous British intelligence operation is allegedly under way against Putin in Budapest.

Bezrukov, now a lecturer at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, revealed that British agents intend to assassinate Putin. Their motive, he claims, is straightforward: without the president, Russia would likely fragment — and that is precisely what the British want.

Bezrukov also noted that the United Kingdom itself is on the verge of disintegration, which is why, in his view, it is taking such extreme risks. “Therefore, I strongly advise him not to go to Budapest,” he added.

Putin is brave, but he should go to Dubai instead

Vladimir Solovyov, a Russian TV host derided as a propagandist by LAdBible, asked how the assassination might be avoided. Bezrukov’s response was clear: the meeting should be moved to Dubai.

According to the former agent, Putin is courageous and may still go to Budapest despite the warning, but as a head of state, he must prioritise his country’s interests in such critical moments.

Bezrukov once operated under the alias Donald Howard Heathfield. He was exposed in 2010 when another agent was unmasked and now lives in Russia.

Last week, Trump successfully brokered a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, potentially marking the start of a long-term peace process. Afterwards, he turned his focus to Ukraine, promising Kyiv Tomahawk missiles with a range of up to 2,500 km. Following this, he received a call from Putin to hold talks.

They agreed to meet in Budapest, and it initially appeared that the meeting could take place as soon as next week. However, experts now believe the summit will likely happen later.
