Margaret Island in Budapest – the highlights in 4K VIDEO
As John Fehér said, in the Danube River, between Buda and Pest, verdant Margaret Island (in Hungarian: Margitsziget) is a tranquil getaway within the city. Pedestrian promenades navigate around parkland, an art nouveau water tower, the ruins of a 13th-century Dominican convent, a musical fountain, Japanese garden and a small zoo. Other attractions include jogging tracks, thermal spas and swimming pools. Summertime brings pop-up bars and restaurants, as well as live music. Watch this video, and enjoy the Margaret Island before the autumn 🙂
The Margaret Island is a beautiful green spot in Budapest, which has been the meeting point of friends, lovers and colleagues for centuries. The Guardian recently shared an article, in which they call the island “a green haven in Hungary’s capital”. It is truly a fantastic hiding spot and a must-see sight in the city.
