New technology presented for testing groundwater
Budapest, April 22 (MTI) – New research methods and technology for testing Hungary’s groundwater resources have been applied under an EU-funded scheme.
The programme has provided details and parameters on Hungary’s mineral, thermal and drinking water resources with greater precision, helping to unlock opportunities for the use of thermal water resources in heating and in health and wellness tourism, Peter Szucs of Miskolc University’s department of earth science and engineering, which developed the technology and led the research, said on Wednesday.
The university won a 476 million forint (EUR 1.6m) EU grant for the two-year programme launched in 2012.
